Our Approach at Elephant Eye EMDR
Just as elephants rely on the strength of their herd, we believe healing happens in relationship—with ourselves, with others, and within the safe space of the therapeutic encounter. We use trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches like EMDR and somatic therapy to help you process the past, reconnect with your body, and move forward with clarity and strength. We value steady presence, cultural sensitivity, and a space where you don’t have to hold it all alone. All parts of you are welcome here.
Modalities By Need
Individual Therapy
There are moments in our lives where we face significant challenges; grief that lingers, anxiety that won’t loosen its grip, burnout that drains your spark, or old traumas that still influence our present experiences. If you’re tired of carrying it alone, this is a space to safely slow down, make sense of what hurts, and begin to reclaim yourself, piece by piece. Healing happens here—quietly, steadily, and at your pace
Couples & Families
Sometimes, we may feel that our relationships are in crisis; they get overwhelmed, misunderstood, or lost in old patterns. If you and your partner are struggling to feel seen, heard, or connected, we’ll help you understand what’s happening beneath the arguments, soften defenses, and rebuild the bond you’re longing for. With science-backed approaches like EFT and Gottman work, repair becomes possible, intimacy returns, and security grows and solidifies.
Children & Teens
Children and teens feel deeply; often without possessing the words to make sense of what they are going through. Big feelings can show up as anxiety, withdrawal, anger, or “not acting like themselves.” Through play, parts work, EMDR, and other developmentally attuned approaches, we aim to help young people express what’s inside, make sense of their experiences, and feel safer in their own minds and bodies - at home, at school, and in their relationships.
Trauma & Somatic Work
Trauma is not only a story in the mind; it becomes a posture, a breath, and a vigilance in the nervous system. You can know your history and its impact, inside and out, and still feel haunted by its echoes. EMDR, somatic work, and movement-based therapies bring the body back into the conversation and reach the places words often can’t, helping your body release what it has been holding so that you can move toward clarity, calmness, and a greater sense of safety.
Corporate & Groups
We provide group sessions and one-on-one coaching for professionals navigating stress, leadership, and burnout, with a mind-body perspective that empowers resilience.
